Ridgewood on the River is a private campground, or a “Members Only” campground. Ridgewood on the River is closed to outside camping and all sites are leased on a seasonal basis only, thus providing a private and secure atmosphere for all our Members. Ridgewood on the River is centrally located within the state of Wisconsin in the Town of Plover. Ridgewood on the River contains approximately 1,100 linear feet of Wisconsin River frontage. Part of this frontage is designated as a common area for the use of all Members. The common area contains a private boat landing, sandy swimming beach and picnic tables. The remaining frontage contains River-front campsites, as well as open areas for access to the River boardwalk and boat slips. Ridgewood on the River also contains a 3-acre spring fed manmade lake. In the near future, private campsites with lake frontage will be available. Ridgewood on the River provides access to 20 miles of navigable Wisconsin River waters. This 20 mile stretch of land and water is picturesque at any point in time during Wisconsin’s four distinct seasons – Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter. Because the majority of shoreline on both sides of the river is flood plain, it cannot be developed. Therefore, most of the shoreline will always remain in its natural state - A sanctuary where wildlife flourishes. Many people travel far north to experience what is nestled right in Central Wisconsin. The Wisconsin River is wide, fairly deep and provides some of the best Crappie, Walleye, Bass, Northern and Musky fishing in the State. The River also provides a haven for water sport enthusiasts. Because of the location of the property , Highways 39 and 54 provide easy access for families traveling from all areas of Wisconsin and surrounding states.
